Safety Days

We prioritize safety to the extent of scheduling quarterly company wide training days to ensure our staff are all operating within the standards required by our clients.

These days are used to review safety procedures, discuss any incidents that have occurred, and to provide additional training as needed.

On these days, we take the opportunity to provide company wide first aid training to ensure that no matter who is at work, or what site they are on, they know how to handle an incident appropriately.

Employee Handbook

Our employee handbook outlines procedures for safe work, and we invest in ensuring it is kept up to date with our best industry practices regularly.

Our handbook is a living document, and we encourage our employees to provide feedback on how we can improve it.

Our handbook also details important emergency information, ensuring that each employee has access to crucial information from their first day on the job.

Equipment Training

Many of the pieces of equipment that we use every day come with inherent risk that cannot be completely mitigated. To ensure the minimal chance of injury, we provide regular extensive training.

From Bucket Trucks, to concrete saws, to cable pullers, and more, we recognize the risk in using equipment both big and small.

Coring tools are extremely hazardous, and we maintain the utmost standards for safety when in use, allowing us to work with some of the most stringent clients in Edmonton.

Continuous Improvement

Our investment in safety equipment doesn't stop. We're always on the lookout for new technologies and gear that can make our worksites even safer. Got an idea for improving safety? We're all ears!

Making Sure We Are Safe

Safety is not a destination, but a journey of continuous improvement. We're always looking for ways to enhance our safety practices:

  • Regular safety meetings and informal conversations
  • Employee feedback and suggestions
  • Incident investigations and root cause analysis

Safety Beyond Our Team

Our commitment to safety extends beyond our immediate team to encompass:

  • Our clients and their property
  • Our suppliers and partners
  • Our community and the environment

We believe that every worker deserves to earn a livable wage and return home to their families each day in the same condition - or better - than when they left for work.

Incident Response

We address safety incidents promptly, discussing them with affected individuals on the day they occur. This has created an environment with a safety-first focus, thanks in large part to the buy in of our team members.

In the past year, we've had zero lost-time incidents, and our quick response to minor issues has prevented any escalation to major incidents.
